Privacy policy

Lafzoo provides "desks" — chat and dashboard tools — to businesses (our customers). This policy explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it, both for those businesses and for the people who message them.
What we collect
- Business accounts: business name, owner and staff names, email addresses and hashed passwords, and the business's settings, price list or course list.
- Messages: what is typed, recorded or photographed into a desk chat or a business's customer chat, and the replies.
- Records created from messages: for example orders, invoices, enquiries, and the customer's name, shop or area and phone number when they give them.
- Technical data: a session cookie that keeps a chat or login open, and a one-way hash of the IP address used for rate limits against abuse.
- Demo requests: the name, business and phone number you send us through this website.
How we use it
Only to run the desk for the business: to understand messages, build orders or records, send replies, and show the business its dashboard. To understand voice notes, photos and text we send them to AI service providers that process them on our behalf. We don't sell data and we don't use one business's data for another business.
Who can see it
A business's data is visible only to that business's owner and staff, and to our team when needed for support or to keep the service running. Every business's data is kept separate from every other's.
How long we keep it
- Voice-note recordings are deleted after 7 days; their text is kept with the conversation.
- Orders, invoices and records are kept while the business uses Lafzoo, and deleted on request when it leaves (businesses may need to keep invoices for tax purposes and can download them first).
If you message a business that uses Lafzoo
The business decides what it does with your order or enquiry. To see, correct or delete what you sent, ask the business, or contact us and we'll pass it on.
